Recently, Acer has unveiled the details on the launch of Nvidia graphics platform Ion 2, which can create a multimedia power in the netbook. Step in fact, Acer announced Aspire One 532G netbook, which featured with the Nvidia graphics Ion 2. Acer claims that they are the first netbook vendors announced support Nvidia Ion 2, while Nvidia has not released when Nvidia will release the Ion 2.
Acer told that the Aspire One 532G netbook will be released at the end of the first quarter of 2010, while Nvidia graphics card Ion 2 will present at the end of March 2010. Ion 2 Platform, a pair of Nvidia GeForce graphics core with Intel Atom netbook processor, promising better result graphics performance than Intel’s on-board, which support only maximum of 720p video.
Netbook Acer Aspire One 532G will be supported by N450 1.66GHz Intel processor and 512MB video memory to support high-definition graphics. While the price for this netbook has not been published yet. Ion Nvidia platform is the pride of Nvidia while for Intel as boomerang. Intel is more focused on low-cost netbooks are designed for basic activities like Web surfing and word processing, while for Nvidia is more to high-priced devices with powerful graphics to support high-definition content. Intel explained that high-definition multimedia can create a shorter battery for extra power required.
