Kingston has launched the new 256GB USB flash drive DataTraveler 300 in July 2009 last year, and has now sold widely in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific. Recently, Kingston sells new product with the name of DataTraveler 310. 256GB flash drive as well as 54DVD or 356CD. That large capacity of DataTraveler 310 is compressed in a small frame size only 73.70mm x 22.20mm x 16.10mm (2.90 x 0.87 x 0.63 inches).
In addition, DataTraveler 310 hardware also comes with password Traveler software that allows users to setup and access to privacy zone. That zone can only be accessed after entering the correct password input, without requiring administrator rights, and can protect all data stored on the device.
DataTraveler 310 hardware / device can read and write data at 25MB/s and 12MB/s, and can operate at temperatures between 0°C and 60°C. DataTraveler 310 comes with a protector that can be placed in the rear and compatible with Windows XP operating system, Vista, Windows 7, Linux v.2.6.x or higher, Mac OS X or higher v.10.3.x. Kingston DataTraveler 310 256GB is priced about $1,108, with a 5-year warranty.
