HBO Pay TV channel has officially to broadcast a total duration of 5 hours miniseries directed by Todd Haynes: Mildred Pierce. This Mini-series, which starring Kate Winslet actress, the oscar winner, will be produced by HBO together with MGM, Killer Films and John Wells Productions. Mildred Pierce is an adaptation of the same novel title created by James M. Cain, in which its own story around the life of Mildred Pierce Beragon (Winslet), a single parent that is struggling to meet the needs of daily life in herself and his daughter during the Great Depression in Los Angeles.
Before, maybe you’ve ever heard about Mildred Pierce novel which for the first time, has been made to movie (film) in 1941. At that time, black and white still of course, before the World War 2 begins. Again, the film (1941) directed by Michael Curtiz was successfully won the Oscar for best actress category. Now, HBO will try to make a mini-series and is expected to be successful as well as film. Previously, Kate Winslet is very popular with starred historic film, Titanic.
